Sugar Bay
Reopened in 2015 following a serious design overhaul. Beyond the manned boom gate and huge sloping car park, Sugar Bay is privately nestled well off the main coast road, across 150 meters of pristine aqua beachfront.

A wide circular drive surrounds a palm tree lined fountain entrance (quite regal when it’s flowing), and introduces elegant, low level colonial-inspired construction, painted in soft banana yellow with white trim and balustrade.
The resort unfolds like a plantation-style beach house with pops of coastal colors. Its lobby looks like a luxurious living room, blending soft neutrals and cool grays with chandeliers, potted palms, and quality wicker furniture.

A wall of candy-colored window shutters hangs above two white peacock chairs that set the tone for the fresh coast-inspired aesthetic throughout. Common areas evolve with breezy, open-air ease between restaurants, the curvaceous sky-blue pool, gardens, and private beach — a long, serene stretch of white sand and shades of aqua.

Concrete pathways meander through the property, bordered by established tropical garden pockets that add a layer of lushness to the scene.

Spend an afternoon at Colin’s Beach Bar & Grill or grab a bite to eat while sitting by the pool or lounging on the beach. This casual outdoor bar and grill offers a delicious selection of comfort food and local favourites, complemented by the best Barbados rum mixes. The beach bar, fashioned after a local “rum shop”, has a casual atmosphere and al fresco seating, which allows for a great beachside view. Colin’s offers something a little different every day for lunch, so your taste buds will never be bored.

Sizzle Steakhouse:
Located in the Sugar Bay Chattel Plaza, Sizzle Steakhouse is sure to delight your palate. Our expert chefs blend quality local ingredients, the best cuts of beef and the flavours of the Caribbean; relax as your meal is prepared to perfection. Choose from a selection of delicious appetizers to start off your evening, and then add traditional side dishes to complement your main course, accompanied by a selection of delectable sauces. Sizzle Steakhouse is an exceptional dining experience not to be missed – perfect for couples or families.

Driftwood Café
This inclusive all-day self-service destination by the beach is a cafe lover’s dream. Lounge on our open deck seating area and serve yourself a nice hot cup tea or a variety of specialty coffee. The Lazy Mongoose Pub
Sugar Bay Barbados’ quaint and cosy pub, the Lazy Mongoose, is reserved for guests aged 18 years and over. The pub features comfy furnishings, a selection of local and internationally brewed beers and other spirits. With the TV tuned into the latest sports, it’s hard to tear yourself away at closing time
